THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT.

With the tragedies of the COVID-19 pandemic, many politicians across Canada set a target of four hours of care per resident each day. The staff in care homes work incredibly hard; however, issues such as the health care worker shortage and a lack of funding may pose as barriers to achieving the target.

Ensuring that Canada provides the appropriate amount of care is crucial to bringing quality of life for our older adults.

The panel will discuss the evidence, or lack of evidence, for the four-hour standard and explore the meaning of the policy for the care sector.

Our panel of healthcare experts will answer questions such as:

Is the four-hour standard enough to provide the appropriate care for older adults? Is it too much?
What is the right mix of care workers? Are we using the right care model?
Can the four-hour standard be staffed to provide the promised amount of care?

Tickets include a delicious three course lunch.
