Human Resource (HR) decisions and managing your workforce can be a tricky ordeal. Complex legal framework and continuously updating labour laws can often lead to confusing and uncertain HR scenarios. For care homes and health care operations, this complexity is even more rigorous with the added dynamic of seniors in care.

This interactive workshop will help care home and home health operators understand how recent and upcoming changes to the BC Employment Standards Act and the Labour Relations Code many affect their business. Workshop participants will be advised of the most significant implications for both unionized and non-unionized employers in BC’s continuing care sector.

Successorship rights, union certification, employer’s right to communication, overtime, and leaves are just a few of the topics that will be included in the discussion. Time will also be provided for questions and answers.

Register to attend the workshop on October 22nd, either in-person or online.
