Fair Haven Homes Society is a non-profit organization which was founded over 60 years ago to provide low-cost housing for seniors. Today, Fair Haven provides residential care and affordable housing to more than 350 seniors in Burnaby and Vancouver. Fair Haven is recognized as a leader in residential care and services for seniors.
Fair Haven is excited with the redevelopment of the independent living apartments sites in Vancouver and Burnaby which continues our mission to provide safe, secure and affordable housing for seniors in need. With the Burnaby apartments completed, we are recruiting for the newly created position of Housing Services Manager.
This is a part-time, salaried one-year term position.
The Housing Services Manager is responsible for the delivery of quality social housing services to applicants and tenants of Fair Haven Homes Society, in line with the Society’s vision and Strategic Plan. The key focus of the role is to manage the Housing Services and maintain positive tenant relationships. The role includes oversight of all operations, tenancy management and community development on behalf of the organization. This position reports directly to the CEO of Fair Haven Homes Society.
The Housing Services Manager is responsible for ensuring housing operations are consistent with industry regulations and operating agreements. A large focus of the role is the development and effective maintenance of tenant relationships to enhance and support community engagement activities. This position evaluates programs and services, implements service improvements and identifies future housing program needs. In addition, the Manager prepares budget recommendations and is responsible for ensuring that all record keeping and compliance requirements associated with the functions of operating agreements are maintained. The Manager also supports partners and other key stakeholders on behalf of the Society.
